Mid 18th century London verge with particularly fine gold repousse case.

MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock, silver regulator disk and blued screws. Signed 'J. HARVEY, LONDON', and numbered (3879). Four round pillars.

All in very good original condition and running well.

DIAL : White enamel dial, in fine condition with just a few very light scratches.

This dial is slightly later than the movement. Gold hands.

INNER CASE : 22ct. gold, with hallmarks for London, 1760, maker DC?.

All in very good condition, with just a little compression to the band. The hinge is fine and the bezel closes correctly. The bow is brass rather than gold so is probably a replacement.

Good high dome bull's eye crystal with no damage.

OUTER CASE : A fine 22ct. gold pair case, with wonderful repousse decoration. In fine condition with very little wear. The hinge, catch button and catch are fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely.

The gold cases weigh 51.8 gms (excluding movement and crystal).
