MOVEMENT : The gilded verge fusee movement is signed and numbered (1007). It is in good condition and is running well.
DIAL : The white enamel dial is about 33mm in diameter. It is in reasonable condition but with a shallow chip at the centre and a repair on the edge at 6 o’clock.
INNER CASE : Diameter 38.2mm. The gilding on the inside is complete but worn through to the brass around the outside of the case and the pendant and bow. The pendant has been reattached to the case.. Good high dome, bull’s eye crystal with no damage. The hinge has been repaired and the case closes but does not snap shut.
OUTER CASE : Diameter 44.5mm. The hinge and catch are fine and there is no damage, repairs or excessive wear. The gilding is worn evenly through to the brass. This case contains a charming watch paper, with a hand painted picture of a drummer boy.
Loomes lists Henry Fish in London (Royal Exchange) from 1736. He died in 1774.
