MOVEMENT : This is a good quality lever movement, with jewel endstone and engraved balance cock (engraved with the word “DETACHd”), It is fully signed (LITHERLAND, Davies & Co) and numbered (9050),
DIAL : The engine turned gold dial is about 40 mm in diameter. It is in very good condition with just a couple of very light scratches.
CASE : The gold case is fully hallmarked for Chester, 18 ct, 1838, maker THJH It is also stamped with the movement number (9050). The case is in nice condition with a little wear to the engine turning but generally very good.. The hinges are all fine and the covers snap shut. The crystal is also fine. This is a heavy case, which with the movement weighs 90.8 gms. It is 46mm in diameter.
