An English silver cased watch with a verge movement, made by Thomas Barnard, in London, around 1814.
MOVEMENT : Nice quality verge movement, with beautifully engraved balance cock and diamond endstone. It is fully signed, numbered (3827). It is running though fast, gaining about 5 minutes per hour. The movement is in very nice clean condition but is missing the brass dust cap.
DIAL : The white enamel dial is about 45.5 mm in diameter and is in perfect condition.
CASE : The silver case is hallmarked for London, 1814, maker IR. It is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. The hinges are fine and the bezel snaps shut. The crystal is perfect.
