MOVEMENT : Fully signed (J. Johnson, Liverpool and numbered 782 – could be the date ?). Gilded verge movement with engraved and beautiful pierced ‘wheel’ balance cock. Nicely blued silver regulator disk. Good original condition and running well.

DIAL : 36.5 mm, white enamel. Fine condition with just some very light surface scratches. Nice original 18th century steel beetle and poker hands.

INNER CASE : 42 mm. London hallmarks for 1782, maker SP. In excellent condition throughout, with just a little wear to the bow. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is fine.

OUTER CASE : 50 mm. Matching hallmarks to the inner. In good condition throughout with just a few very small dents and wear to the catch button. The hinge and catch are fine and the catch snaps shut nicely.
