MOVEMENT : Good quality, fully jewelled lever movement. The balance cock is engraved “PATENT DETACH’D’ and the dustcap is engraved with the maker’s name ‘F. Haynes’. A lever on the side of the case stops and starts the movement. Very good original condition and running well.
DIAL : 47 mm, cream enamel. Perfect except for a small flake at the seconds aperture. No repairs.
CASE : 53.0 mm. Silver marks for Chester, 1824. Maker ‘s mark IW and also marked with the serial number 2314. One small dent on the edge of the back cover but generally very good. The hinges are fine and both covers close correctly. The crystal is perfect.
