A large and substantial silver pair cased watch, with a verge movement and “name” dial.
MOVEMENT : Gilded verge fusee movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock. Signed (West, DOCKING) and numbered (47250). It is in good condition and is running well.
DIAL : White enamel, 46.5 mm in diameter, with the name “HENRY JOHNSON’ in place of numbers. There are 3 hairlines radiating from the centre, a couple scratches and a small repair just below the centre hole.
INNER CASE : Silver, 52 mm in diameter. Hallmarked for London, 1829. Maker’s mark IMH. Good condition with just a couple of small dents on the back and no repairs. Good high dome bull’s eye crystal with no damage. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes properly.
OUTER CASE : Silver, 59 mm in diameter. Matching hallmarks to the inner. Hinge and catch fine and the case closes nicely. Good condition with just a couple of dents on the bezel at 6.
