MOVEMENT : Signed and numbered (72817). Gilded verge movement with engraved and pierced balance cock. Good original condition and running well.

DIAL : 38.25 mm, white enamel. Good condition overall with some light surface scratches and chips on the edge at 6 and 11. Blued steel beetle and poker hands. The hour hand has a small piece broken off but is original 18th century. The minute hand is a later replacement.

INNER CASE : 41.5 mm. London hallmarks for 1793 and maker’s mark WD. Reasonable condition. There are some small dents around the winding aperture, one dent near the catch and the pendant is worn. The case closes but does not catch shut. The high dome crystal is fine.

OUTER CASE : 51 mm. Matching hallmarks to the inner. In good condition with just a few small dents on the back. The hinge is fine and the case snaps shut nicely.
