A wonderful 18th century Geneva skeleton verge, in a fine gold and enamel gem set exhibition case. In exceptional condition.
MOVEMENT : Skeletonised gilt verge movement, with engraved plate and balance cock Very unusual blued steel regulator maker and ring. The movement is protected by a silver gem set, heavily pierced cover containing a very fine enamel portrait. All in excellent condition and running well.
DIAL : Signed white enamel dial, in perfect condition. Beautiful matching ornate gem set silver hands.
CASE : A finel gold case, with gem set bezels and buttons, and glass exhibition back.
There is a tiny gold mark on the stem.
Both hinges and movement catch are fine and the front cover closes nicely. A couple of tiny chips on the edge of the rear glass, but very minor.
