A fine quality Liverpool rack lever, in gold pair cases, in fine condition.
MOVEMENT : Nice quality gilded rack ever fusee movement, with undamaged blued screws, diamond endstone, gold and blued steel balance wheel, stop/start lever and removable gilt brass dustcap. Signed and numbered (31898). All in excellent condition and running well.
The stop lever on the edge of the dial plate at seven correctly stops and restarts the movement.
DIAL : Signed, light cream enamel. Perfect condition except for two short hairlines on the edge at 3 and 6. Nice matching Breguet style hour and minute hands.
INNER CASE : Hallmarks for 18ct gold, Chester, 1821, maker NL, and stamped with the movement number (31898). Excellent condition throughout, with just some very light rubbing. The case snaps shut nicely and the crystal is fine.
OUTER CASE : Gold hallmarks matching the inner. Wonderful condition throughout.
The cases, excluding crystal and movement, weigh 71 gms.
