MOVEMENT : Gilded verge movement, signed (Thos. Johnson, London) and numbered (284) with pierced and engraved balance cock and plate. Four wonderful fancy pillars and diamond endstone. In excellent condition and running well.

DIAL : Elegant white enamel, in excellent condition. Fine original 18th century gold beetle and poker hands.

INNER CASE : Gilt/brass in very good condition, with no damage or repairs, and only some wear to the gilding on the band, stem and bow. Stamped with maker’s mark and movement serial number (TI? & 284). The hinge is fine and the case snaps shut. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is in very good condition.

OUTER CASE : Gilt/brass in good condition with very little wear to the gilding. The hinge and catch are fine and the case snaps shut, though the catch button is dented.
