Sold
An early ‘oignon’ verge, in excellent condition, with a fine gilt & enamel dial.
MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with a large engraved and nicely pierced, balance bridge and regulator disk. Signed S. LALEMANT, BLOIS.
In exceptional condition and running well.
DIAL : Beautiful gilt dial with blue & white enamel cartouche chapter ring. In excellent condition, with just a little wear to the gilding of the centre. One of the dial pins (fixing it to the movement) is missing but the dial is held ok by the other two.
Nice early steel beetle and poker hands, in good condition, and which appear to be original.
CASE : A gilt brass case, with engraving of foliage and animals to both bezel and back. The case is in good condition but the gilding has worn through to the brass. The stem is original, though the bow is a replacement. The hinge is fine and the bezel closes nicely.
The high dome crystal is in good condition.
