MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with a beautifully engraved and pierced balance cock , showing birds and a mask. Signed ‘W. Wilson, LONDON’. In good condition, with just one piece of the balance cock missing (small wing from the left hand side) and some rubbing to the gilding at the pillar top. Running well.
DIAL : Silver champleve dial, with signed central disk (WILSON, LONDON). In fine condition. Nice original 18th century blued steel hands.
INNER CASE : Rubbed marks. In good condition, though the pendant has been attached and there are three small, light bruises to the back. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly. The high dome crystal is also fine.
OUTER CASE : Rubbed London hallmarks for 1759. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes correctly, though there are small bruises to the bezel and back, resulting in a short split to the centre of the back.
