An early 19th century gold verge, with a beautiful gold and enamel dial, all in excellent condition.
MOVEMENT : Gilded verge movement. Unsigned. Excellent condition, and running well.
DIAL : A beautiful, engine turned gold dial, with white enamel outer chapter ring and cartouches. In perfect condition except for one tiny chip to the enamel in the cartouche at 2 o’clock. Blued steel Breguet type hands.
CASE : Rose gold case, sunburst engraving with empty cartouche to the back and milled band and bezel. The stem is stamped with the serial no. 3606 and an indistinct maker’s mark AL?. The case is in fine condition, The hinges are good and the bezel closes correctly. The high dome crystal is fine.
This watch is probably Swiss (could be French), and was made right at the beginning of the 19th century.
