MOVEMENT : Gilded verge escapement, with nicely engraved and pierced balance cock, and plate. Blued steel regulator disk and screws. Four square pillars.
Signed and numbered (106).
The movement is in good condition and is running well.
DIAL : Later replacement white enamel dial in average condition.
No repairs but a hairline across the centre from 3 to 9, another between 7 and 8, and a chip on the edge at 5.
One dial foot is missing but the dial is held firmly to the movement (though not perfectly straight).
Later steel spade hands.
INNER CASE : Silver, with clear hallmarks for London, 1777, maker’s mark TG.
Reasonable condition through the pendant has been reattached and reinforced. Light bruises to the back and a short split to one side. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is in fine condition.
OUTER CASE : Silver pair case with matching hallmarks to the inner. Engraved monogram on the back.
In average condition, with some bruises to the back, replacement catch button, damage to the bezel at 6, and general wear. The hinge and catch are fine and the case snaps shut nicely.
