The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely. The high dome crystal is also fine.

In very good condition, with just some light wear to the high points, mainly to the central figure. One short crack on the inside of the bezel at the catch (this is where the gold band was joined to form the bezel).
The catch, catch button and hinge are fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly.
William Kipling is listed in London between 1705 and 1737.
The case maker is probably Thomas Potts of Fleet Street, London.
