An early 19th century London verge, in silver gilt pair cases, and calendar dial.
MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock. Four round pillars and steel balance wheel.
Signed (Jas. Williams, LONDON) and numbered (14750).
The movement is in good condition, and is running.
DIAL : A white enamel dial, with inner calendar chapter separated by a gilt border.
In average condition, with a chip re glued at 11, a hairline from the centre to 3, a couple of repairs on the edge at 8 and 1, and some wear to the gilding. One of the three dial feet is missing, though the dial is held firmly by the other two.

The calendar work under the dial is complete, and the calendar hand moves forward every 24 hours.
INNER CASE : Silver gilt, with London hallmarks for 1811, maker’s mark *GC.
In quite good condition, with very little wear to the gilding, one small bruise on the back near the winding aperture, and some wear to the bow. The hinge is good and the bezel snaps shut nicely. The stem may have been reattached.
The high dome bull’s eye crystal is heavily scratched.
OUTER CASE : Silver gilt, with hallmarks matching the inner.
In good condition although with a few small dents. The catch button is missing, however the catch is present, and the bezel snaps shut correctly.
