MOVEMENT : The quite deep gilded fusee verge movement has a finely engraved and pierced balance cock with a mask to the neck and diamond endstone. Small silver regulator disc and four round baluster pillars.

Signed Christopher Pinchbeck, LONDON. and numbered 102.

The quarter repeat strikes once for each hour, and twice for each quarter. The watch is a dumb repeater so the hammers tap two brass blocks which are screwed to the inside of the case.

The movement is protected by a removable gilt dustcap, signed and numbered as the movement

It is in very good condition, striking correctly and running well.

DIAL : The white enamel dial is excellent condition, with just a few very light scratches, a couple of small nibbles on the edge at 12 and a small chip at the catch slot at 6.

Blued steel beetle and poker hands.

CASE : Gilt metal, with no maker’s mark.

The case is in very good condition, with no dents, other damage or significant wear to the gilding. The hinges are fine and the bezel closes. The only noticeable wear to the gilding is to the catch button and to the sliding winding aperture cover on the back. The high dome crystal is good.
