An early rack lever movement, in a heavy full hunter silver case.

MOVEMENT : A fine quality rack lever escapement fusee movement, with clean blued screws and diamond endstone.

Signed Barwise, LONDON and numbered 4239.

The movement is protected by a removable gilt dustcap, signed and numbered as the movement.

All in good original condition, though with some scratches around two of the pillar tops. Running well.

DIAL : White enamel, with subsidiary seconds. Signed and numbered as the movement.

Almost perfect condition except for one hairline running from the centre to the edge at 12.

Gold hands, with blued steel seconds.

CASE : A large and heavy silver full hunter case with hallmarks for London, 1807, maker TG. Gold hinges.

The silver is in good condition throughout. The gold hinges are a little worn and although both covers will stay closed, the opening steel springs are absent so the covers don’t spring open when the stem is pressed.
