A nice small sized early London verge, in good overall condition.
MOVEMENT : A gilded movement with four square pillars, silver regulator disk, and nicely engraved and pierced balance cock with a mask to the neck.
The movement is signed John Masters, LONDON and numbered 580.
All in good condition, and running well.
DIAL : A signed silver champleve dial. In very good condition.
Good early blued steel beetle and poker hands, both in good condition.
CASE : Silver case, with winding aperture shutter to the back.
Maker’s mark WR.
All in very good condition though the stem has been reattached.
The high dome bull’s eye crystal is good.
The catch and hinge are fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely, though the catch button has worn down.
The case maker is probably William Richards of Ludgate Hill, London.
