Verge movement by Rooker, London, c1725

MOVEMENT : Signed. Large silver balance cock, with side brackets.

MOVEMENT CONDITION : Very dirty, but almost complete. The balance is complete, and swings ok. The chain has lost the barrel hook. The mainspring appears to be ok.
The 2 screws used to fix the table of the balance cock to the plate are absent.

MOVEMENT SIZE : 10.3 mm between the plates. Top plate 36.3 mm. Dial plate 38mm.

DIAL : Poor condition (and much later). No hands but complete with motion wheels.

DIAL SIZE : 40 mm. (dial false plate).
