Shagreen Outer Case

Diameter 49 mm, inner bezel diameter 42 mm, inner depth to bezel 13 mm.

Gilt brass base, with black shagreen (or textured leather) covering and gilt rims. Ornamental pins to the bezel, sides and centre of the back.

Good unrestored condition. The shagreen is almost perfect with just a little lifting to the back around the catch. Just 3 ornamental pins missing from the bezel and one missing from the centre of the back..

The hinge, catch button and catch are fine and the case snaps shut nicely. The gilding is still bright.
