Horn Outer Pair Case

Diameter 50 mm, inner bezel diameter 42 mm, inner depth to bezel 13 mm.

Gilt brass base, with gilt rims and pins, and dark horn or tortoiseshell covering.

In usable condition.

The catch and catch button are present and the bezel snaps shut. The hinge is good.
There is even wear to all of the gilding, to the rims, hinge and pins.

The horn or shell covering is a very dark colour, almost black. The covering on the back is complete, with just three short cracks running from the edge.
The covering on the bezel is almost complete with just a small piece missing at the hinge. There are three short cracks across the bezel.

There are just eight brass pins missing from the bezel, and two from the back.
